I had to put this link in my blog. I truly can say if anyone understands what it is like to be a a small business, its the great mentors at Score.
So if you are researching into opening a small business they are great selection of Mentors that can help.
And no they are not paying me to say this at all I can only speak from my personal experience. I am no way affiliated accept by communicating with some great people. I just know that I have been through the ringer with broken promises from false people.
Do not let anyone sell you a dream. Owning your own business is a big decision and takes alot of brain power. Check things out before you go jumping into something you can't handle. I'm not trying to scare anyone but just inform you that some people only want whats in your bank account and not what benefits you and your business. It doesn't matter which type of business you choose it is always hard to get things up and running. Financial issues always are going to come up with taxes and fees. Let someone walk you through the process. Someone who has already been there!

My first Encounters
When I first started thinking about opening my own business was about 2 years ago. I was working as a ER Tech/EMT in the local hospital when one night I pulled something more than just a muscle in my back. I herniated a disc in my neck and tore my tendon in my left shoulder which caused severe nerve damage to my left side. Did I mention I am all of 5'2 and 130lbs. My job required lifting, pulling, pushing, and constantly being on your feet. I knew that I was in trouble and I was not going to ever be the same and I would never be able to do the job the way I did before. My children worried about me everyday. They were happy when I was put out of work. They didn't understand what that meant.
We all know that the economy is terrible and that unemployment reach an all time peak in our State. My situation was going to get extremely worse before it even got better.
I worried everyday I knew things were going to get really rough and sure enough they did.
After a year of being home I knew I had to do something. I had to try to supplement my income or replace the income I made before the accident.
I began researching all kinds of stay at home job sites and woah I found out so much information over the internet. My mind wanted to explode I wasn't sure what was what.
I started to look for a mentor someone that new exactly what they were talking about and had experienced it for themselves. I should have known better because anything that sounds that good can't be true.
Eventually I talked myself into paying this mentor who promised he would help build my business with me and be there every step of the way. It was extremely costly and found out later after spending all that time and money that there are mentor ship programs for small business owners that are FREE!!! And who doesn't love FREE!!! I wanted to kick myself even harder when I realized I was getting ripped off by my website builders. Their hosting fees are ridiculous. These connections that I thought I had made were through this mentor ship program. They are designed to rip you off.
So here I am writing a blog in the hopes that I can inspire and help people just like me.
So if you are starting your own business your going to want to read this blog somethings will even shock you but most of all I hope I can give helpful advice that won't let you lose money but start to make money right away the right way.
